Become a state tested nurse aide (STNA) and enter one of the fastest growing careers in America! This 75 hour nurse aide course prepares you to take the written and skills test to become a state tested nurse aide. Candidates must pass both parts of the test to be identified as state tested and listed on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry which is controlled by the Ohio Department of Health. Our program prepares you to perform assigned functions of personal care to people in their residence, long-term care facility, hospital, assisted living or hospice care center. Becoming a state tested nurse aide (STNA) in Ohio requires you to complete these two steps:

1) successfully complete state-mandated 75 hour training & competency evaluation program/TCEP (59 hr classroom instruction & 16 hr clinical experience) to be eligible for consideration to become a STNA in Ohio, AND take and 2) pass the state’s (written & skills) exam to become a STNA.

 The Nurse Aide Program is approved by the State Board of Career Colleges and Schools to provide a Certificate Level Program Registration number: 15-09-2070T.

 

Academia also offers HHA certification classes that assists students to work in a wide range of settings, predominately in client homes.They may also work in assisted living or long-term care facilities. We offer a 60-hour with no clinical experience required and a 75-hour course with 16 hours of clinical experience at an area Nursing Home.

 

Failure to fulfill the requirements will result in your not being allowed to participate in the clinical part of the training. Follow the following steps to get started: 1. Pay course fee The total course cost of $299 may be paid at once or using the following payment plan:

Deposit: $150 Due at registration preferably OR by 4 p.m. the Friday before the first day of class Final Payment: $149 Due the second Monday of the two week day class or the beginning of the third week of class for the evening and weekend classes.

 

If this payment schedule does not meet a student’s needs, an alternate payment plan can be negotiated. If a student still has an outstanding balance at the conclusion of the course, the student will not be issued a Certificate of Completion until all financial obligations are satisfied.
